The University of Oregon stands above most colleges as a university with academic excellence and hands-on learning activities. Founded in 1876, The University of Oregon resides in its own campus-town in Eugene, settled under towering trees with a beautiful 295-acre campus.  It is a regionally accredited four-year public university, with a student to teacher ratio of 20:1. The average size of the student population at Oregon is just under 20,000 undergraduates. The makeup of the student body is 53% female, 47% male. The university has an acceptance rate of 79%, with an out-of-state tuition of $27,600 and an in-state tuition of $8,800.

What might be most well-known about the Oregon Ducks over here on the East Coast are their flamboyant school uniforms. At home football games, the team looks like a pack of highlighters that escaped from an office store. The Ducks boast an impressive athletic program, from division I sports to intramural competition.  The University of Oregon offers a variety of majors and degrees, with the majority of their degrees coming from social sciences (21%).

With more than 85% of freshmen returning for their second year at the University of Oregon, you can tell that the college is a very rewarding experience and a great investment in your future.
