    New Movie Theater?

St. Mary’s County is in need of a new movie theater. Everybody constantly complains about the only one in the whole county, which is in Lexington Park. It is very out-dated, floors are dirty, and the seats are missing. We just need to tear the one down and get an up to date movie theater.

“It doesn’t get good business and they need to re-do it” says sophomore Kimmey Daughtery. Before 1986, they used to have 2 movie theaters in town. They shut one down and were building a new one, then shut the other one down when the new one opened. St. Mary’s would get a lot of business with a new movie theater; I just don’t think that the movie businesses realize that.

“I think its fine, but it could use some cleaning, better seats, and bigger screens” says freshman Kennedy Smith. A big problem about this movie theater is that the movies they make now fit on bigger screens because that’s how up to date movie theaters are. Also, the sound system is very poor. “It could use a lot of fixing up” says sophomore Courtney Springer. Basically, my argument is that we need to have a new, up to date, movie theater here in St. Mary’s County.
