Have you ever felt like you hit the lowest point of your life? Well, you wouldn’t hit as low as the main character, Jeff, when he’s forced to attend a community college after his firm finds out he faked his bachelor’s degree in an attempt to get with a young lady and his Spanish class, he decides to form a Spanish study group, but to his surprise, more people choose to join the study group and group of misfits form an unlikely community together.

After watching this show, I was hooked. All the schemes and shenanigans that they come up with draw the watcher’s attention, especially considering how well the show aged, coming from 2009. The jokes that were made in the show withstood the test of time, and it is still a great watch. Anyone who takes the time to sit down and look at the show will find some part of it entertaining.

I watched the show’s first three seasons, and I can say it was quickly one of the better shows I’ve seen growing up. There are susceptible topics, though, throughout the show, which can include gang violence, self-harm, and many more. All of this combines to create a unique show that seems to grasp the attention of all its watchers, young and old because it shows the struggles we deal with in society, no matter who we are or how famous we are.

Dahmer

The story of Jeffrey Dahmer, one of America’s most notorious serial killers, is partly told from the point of view of his victims. The series dives into the police incompetence and apathy that allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree. The series dramatizes instances where Dahmer was nearly apprehended until his ultimate conviction and death. It also explores how police incompetence and apathy contributed to enabling his crimes.

From my experience, this show can be very explicit at many moments, so viewer discretion is advised. Although things can get wicked throughout the show, with all the gory moments that would make your stomach turn, it’s still interesting to take that peek into a killer’s mind. Evan Peters did a phenomenal job with the role of Dahmer in this show.
