Before the start of a lovely winter break, we had the annual student vs staff basketball game. A showdown between two teams, one composed of our staff and the other of our most elite seniors!

The staff team this year featured fan favorites and even some new student teachers being coached by Coach Barber! Starting off with Mr. Herbert, Mr. Goldsmith, Mr. David, Mr. Smith, Mr. Copsey, Mr. Kaslavage, Mr. Snyder, Mr. Gaddis, Mr. Fenwick, Mr. Lanham, Mr. Robinson, Mrs. E. Dyson, Ms. Anderson, Ms. Feldhausen, Mr. Newton, and Mr. Aberdeen. The students were on a generational line up this year with our senior class team! Marcel Chase, Jahari Turner, John Watts, Charles Watts, Terrance West, Jacob Floyd, Jason Collins, Matthew Lipoff, Mark Murphy, Clinton Corley, Brody Dennis, Piper Olson, Melaine McLaughlin, Matt Davio, Liyah Ferrill, Zack Norris, and Clara Hammett. This amazing team of seniors was coached by Peyton Barber, Allie Burks, Vanessa Brooks, Tori Pernell, JoJo Herbert and Nate Geiger. 

The staff team kept a tight hold on the students, always managing to stay ahead every quarter! Staff had some major plays from Mr. Copsey and Mr. Goldsmith, who gave our seniors a real hard time! But our seniors pulled through overtime with a good recovery against the staff after every point was scored. Time was not on our seniors side though because it was ultimately their downfall against the staff. The game ended with a score of 45-37 with our staff winning again this year.

Not all is blue though! We got an excellent performance from the Staff and Student Dance team! Who helped hype up our attendees before a comeback from the students in the second half. Lets hope our students can pull through with a win against the staff next year raiders!
