What Grinds Our Gears 2

What+Grinds+Our+Gears+2

You know what really grinds our gears? Girls that like tools and the nice guys that get screwed over because of it. You see it all the time, don’t lie to me. There’s that one beautiful girl that’s always in tears because she chases after the wrong kind of guy who plays with her feelings like he plays with his Xbox. Then there’s that one guy, the nice guy, the guy who always has the shoulder to cry on. On the outside he’s saying how much of a jerk the other guy is and how she deserves so much better—but inside he’s screaming at her to open her eyes and realize that he’s the guy that she’s been looking for. He’s saying, “Stop coming to me complaining about how there are no nice guys left in the world anymore when I’m standing right here!”

The funny thing is that as soon as the girl gets done crying on her “best guy friend’s” (as she always refers to him) shoulders, she goes right back to the guy that broke her heart. Meanwhile, the nice guy is left more clueless than a blind guy in a crosswalk. He has nothing to do but ponder the idiocy of the girl and realize his own stupidity for wasting all his time on fixing her up so she can let someone else tear her down.

If you’re a girl that knows she’s done this to a “close guy friend,” then shame on you. If you’re a guy that knows that this has happened to you, this article’s dedicated to you. Our hearts at the Imprint go out to all you nice guys out there. The world needs you. Someday, if there’s any good left in the world, those silly girls will come to their senses and realize that you are what they’ve been looking for this whole time. And for the girl that doesn’t realize she’s had what she’s been looking for, we’d like you to know that you really grind our gears.
