Don’t have any gift ideas for that special someone for Valentine’s Day? If not, here are a few cute ideas you can do that are easy!

  1. Romantic surprise with flour hearts. Here’s a cute idea you can do outside on the yard. Create a card by cutting out a heart shape on a piece of colored card and add flour for a striking visual effect. You will be amazed to know that this card also doubles up as a super romantic floor art – all thanks to the step where you sprinkle lots of flour on the card using it as stencil, and the cut-out creates a perfect heart-shaped layer of flour on the grass when you remove the sheet of paper.
  2. A jar of reasons why you love them. Decorate a small glass jar with ribbons, felt hearts, and other decorative items. This unique gift can be added to a shelf as a decorative piece, and can be customized with a personal message from you. How this inspiration by DIY Enthusiasts works up the decor involves wrapping the jar with lots of twine with a black button in the middle. The button keeps a heart-shaped felt cut out in place, while the jar itself houses loads of little pieces of paper. Each of the pieces of folded paper is going to bring a smile to your special one’s face as it explains a reason why you are in love with them.
  3. Miniature Valentine’s notebooks. If your partner enjoys writing notes, these miniature notebooks will provide the perfect gift this Valentine’s Day. They can be hand-made and attached with decorative elements of your choice for an extra special touch. The key is to bind small rectangular pieces of paper together, further putting cardboard and patterned paper to use for making its cover. While this one goes for a metallic black chain having shiny beads attached at its ends to hang the notebook, you can also craft it into a wonderful keychain.
  4. Homemade chocolate cupcakes. These heart-shaped chocolate cupcakes not only show your partner how much you care, but are delicious too. Use your favorite recipes and give to your loved one on the big day. While these cupcakes are a classic dark chocolate moistness that melts in the mouth almost instantly, you can always go for your partner’s preferred flavours.
  5. Personalized photo frame. Create a photo frame that you can’t buy in the store. Just use spray paint to create a unique pattern, and include your favorite photo of you as a couple. What the picture frame sports is a huge heart-shaped cut-out having one of your precious memories together as its backdrop. That two-in-one goodness of the frame is totally going to steal their heart – whether it’s that picture housed inside or the exterior that’s a stunning combination of Valentine-perfect colors, i.e. red and white.
  6. Love letters. This one is a classic. Write them a lovely letter that includes the many, many reasons you love them, and how that’s amplified every day.
  7. ‘On the Hour’ gifts. If you’re struggling to think of the perfect gift for your loved one, how about several throughout the day? In fact, you can present envelopes to your partner every 14 hours with these handmade envelopes. Create your own labels to attach to each envelope and organize the gifts throughout the day. Place a lovely card for each of the hour or simply house small gifts in the envelopes, for example small gift cards to his favorite restaurants, book store or a cafe; some romantic love notes; photographs the two of you together; or even little candies.
  8. Chalkboard painted mugs. Now your partner can enjoy their favorite beverages in these hand-made mugs. Think of a special design that signifies your relationship, or include a meaningful quote or personalized message. And that cute message by their special someone is going to make these mugs stand out from all other store for them-bought mugs that top the list of Valentine’s presents out there. Not to forget, the layer of chalkboard paint applied on the mugs allows you to go for a new custom message everyday, transforming even the most regular of days into Valentine’s Day.
  9. Heart blanket. Valentine’s Day is usually cold in many parts of the country, so why not snuggle up together in your very own heart blanket. This is easy to create if you have a spare afternoon, and requires little in the way of expensive materials. The cozy blanket calls for a throw blanket, some all surface paint, a paintbrush, a pair of scissors, some cardboard, and cork for the construction. Once you cut out the cardboard hearts in three different sizes, you work up stamps by adding corks to the back of the hearts. The magic comes into play when you stamp the paint-coated hearts onto the blanket in a gradient pattern in terms of their sizes, and that’s all! What an awesome festive present serving up two functionalities at the same time – making them feel oh so special on the big day as well as making a style statement to the room.
  10. Initial candle. One of our favorite DIY Valentine’s Day gifts for them, this beautiful candle will not only illuminate any room, but includes the initials of you and your loved one. Oh yes, it’s not just a simple carving of the letters, but also frames them inside a gorgeous heart, worked up with the same technique that you use to carve the alphabets. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to call this thing of creativity as one of the most beautiful gifts you can present to those who mean a lot to you, while being equally easy to put together using just a handful of supplies. You are going to need a candle, Linoleum cutter, a gold leaf pen or ballpoint pen, some tape, and the desired printed design. Once you trace the design with a pen and make the carving with a cutter, you fill it up with glamorous gold, and voila!

If you don’t want to use these ideas, I hope they inspired you and you can make some amazing gifts for them. Good luck, and Happy Valentine’s Day!
