The 2024 NFL offseason has just begun and it has already been insane. We have seen plenty of activity from plenty of teams already this offseason. This has included plenty of moves at every position including Quarterback.

For instance we have seen teams like the Falcons make big moves at Quarterback signing Kirk Cousins to a 4 year 180 million deal. This is after they shipped Desmond Ridder to the Cardinals for wide receiver Rondale Moore. The Falcons made this move to attempt to compete in what is a weak NFC, pairing Kirk Cousins with the talents of Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and more. Ridder will go to backup Kyler Murry in Arizona. We have also seen Russel Wilson go to the Steelers. This move made Kenny Pickett request a trade and he was later traded that same day to the Eagles to backup Jalen Hurts. Many felt that Pickett wanted out due to the Steelers lying about his starting role, but rather than competing, Pickett just wanted out. But the Steelers were not done there, they then sent a 6th round pick to Chicago for former first round pick QB Justin Fields. This means the Steelers new QB room consists of 2 former starters from last season.

Outside the quarterback position, we have also seen big moves at other positions. For example, we have seen a running back carousel. There are seven former Pro Bowl running backs headed to new teams this year, which is the most in any offseason in NFL history. We have seen stars like Saquan Barkley sign with the Eagles and Derrick Henry signing with the Ravens to pair with last year’s MVP Lamar Jackson in the backfield. We have also seen a lot of other moves like Aaron Jones to the Vikings after the Packers picked up Josh Jacobs, Gus Edwards to the Chargers, and much more. Many of these running backs got new contracts as well, something they complained about last season to the NFL.

Other big moves this offseason consisted of Danielle Hunter to the Texans after their guy Jonathan Greenard signed with the Vikings. Also Xavier Mckinney went to the Packers, CJ Gardner Johnson signed with the eagles for the second time in 3 years, and Patrick Queen signed with the Steelers.

It has been a wild offseason so far and it is just getting started. With many teams joining their divisional rivals this next season should be one to never forget. The question still arises, can anyone stop the chief’s reign?
