On Tuesday November 6th, the college basketball season officially started. A lot of the top 25 teams played lower class division one teams. Some ranked teams did end up playing each other that night like number four Duke and number two Kentucky. Duke truly proved everyone wrong while playing the number two team by beating Kentucky 118-84. Duke freshmen R.J. Barrett Scored 33 points, Zion Williamson dropped 28 points then Cam Reddish scored 22 points.Duke’s three five star freshmen combined for 83 points. While for Kentucky the leading scorer was Keldon Johnson with 23 points. Then number ten Michigan State played number one Kansas, at the half Kansas was winning 50-36. During the second half michigan state dropped 51 points only allowing 42 by Kansas, ultimately Kansas was able to hold off Michigan state winning 92-87. Michigan State guard Joshua dropped 18 points, Kansas guard Quentin Grimes scored 21 points in a much needed win against Michigan St. All the ranked teams who played all had double digit wins except for these two. College basketball looks to have be quite the excitement this year.
